Osmena Peak, Badian (Moal Boal)
OSMENA PEAK

Heading south, you can climb Cebu's Osmeña peak in Mantalongon, Dalaguete (pronounced "Dalaget"). Located at 1,013 meters above sea level, Osmeña Peak is the highest point on the entire island. Limestones with sharp protruding peaks that are perfect for taking pictures make up these hills. The summit is part of the Mantalongon Mountains that extend as far as Badian Municipality. It is considered a twin brother of Bohol's Chocolate Hills.

MOAL BOAL

Swimming among the sardines Snorkeling: The big attraction at Moalboal is the sardine balls. A sardine ball is a collection of thousands of sardines swimming all at once. When you dive down, they move as a collective, forming an incredible dance that way. You can also just snorkel on the surface and still witness this natural phenomenon. The best thing about the sardines is that they are only 30 meters from the shore. This means you don't have to pay for a cruise or rent a boat. All you need is your glasses and mask. To be fair, you may not even need fins if you're trying to save money. It is definitely one of the most unique things to do in Cebu, so don't miss this one. *Moalboal is also home to hundreds of turtles. The best place near Moalboal to look for turtles is between Tongo Point and the main beach at Moalboal.

Next to Oslob is the small but picturesque island of Sumilon where you can appreciate the sandbar. With its clear azure waters and pristine white beaches, the Sumilon sandbar is very popular. It recreates a photogenic and enchanting tropical paradise that entices all types of travelers. Bluewater Resorts owns the island; Therefore, it is not allowed to stay overnight on the island unless you are checked in at Sumilon Bluewater Island Resort. MAINIT HOT SPRING,
MALABUYOC

Malabuyoc is one of the places in Cebu province that is blessed with beautiful hot springs. You will find the hidden but well-known Mainit Hot Spring there. It is mainly hidden due to its accessibility and distance, and not everyone can visit the place without an intense desire to explore its natural attraction. Mainit (means 'hot' in Cebuano language) Hot Spring is natural and unaffected by resort development projects (yet).

Badian

Kawasan falls, Badian (Moal Boal)
KAWASAN WATERFALLS

In the south of Cebu, the breathtaking Kawasan Falls are located in the municipality of Badian. Kawasan Falls is a three-stage cascade of clear turquoise water from mountain springs of the Mantalongon Mountains. The falls are a pearl of the Philippines. One of the most popular tourist spots in the south of Cebu. A canyoneering adventure begins at the Canlaob River downstream to the Kawasan Falls. Local accredited guides accompany all tourists and facilitate the activities such as hiking, jumping, swimming, climbing and rappelling through the streams. Above all, if you do canyoning, be prepared to be excited

SWIMMING WITH
WHALE SHARKS

In Oslob you can swim with the Whale Sharks, known locally as the "Tuki". The municipality of Oslob is known for its old churches and beautiful beaches, but became more popular because of the gentle giants - the whale sharks. Local fishermen would interact with the whale sharks by feeding them… until a large number of tourists arrived in Oslob to see the whale sharks being fed. As a result, these tourists snorkel or dive with the whale sharks. Oslob Whale Shark Watching is one of the top “things to do” in the bucket lists of tourists visiting Cebu because of the rare experience.

Tumalog Falls, Samboan
TUMALOG WATERFALL

Tumalog Falls on Cebu Island is one of the most beautiful waterfalls in the Philippines. The turquoise waters of the falls are not as vibrant as at the Kawasan falls, but the sheer size of the falls makes it an incredible place to visit. Due to the remoteness of the Tumalog Falls in South Cebu, it was only discovered in 2012, but luckily the waterfall is now easily accessible by road. If you're up for a real, heart-pounding adventure in the heart of Cebu, canyoning on the famous Badian cliffs is the answer. Badian is known for its canyoning, which is frequented by thrill seekers from all over the world. You will test your mettle as you jump, abseil and swim through the cliffs, leaping from 9 meter high cliffs into the water. After that, it's lunch time at the beautiful Kawasan Falls.

Alcoy

Tingko beach, Alcoy
TINGKO BEACH

Tingko Beach is a popular holiday destination in Alcoy .Cebu, Philippines. It is located in a small but deep lagoon on a coral island called Mabad-on Reef, which is completely submerged during high tide and exposed during low tide. It is only separated from the mainland by a very narrow channel. Tingko Beach is characterized as a vast coastline with an arc, about a mile long with very white sand and crystal clear water fringed with coconut palms and limestone cliffs. A few meters from the coast, the seabed gradually plunges down to a depth of several meters below the surface.

TO SEE ON OUR NEIGHBOUR ISLANDS

Siquijor

An island of witchcraft, healing, spiritual rituals and…. beaches. Siquijor is truly a unique island. For centuries the indigenous people of this small island off the coast of Bohol have lived in the mountains where they brew and concoct special potions to heal physical ailments, treat emotional scars and drive away evil spirits.

Unless you need an exorcism, you might be more interested in knowing what kind of adventures this island has in store for you. As with most islands in the Visayas, Siquijor is a vacation paradise with white sand beaches, turquoise waters, mysterious caves, incredible reefs, sublime snorkeling spots.

To get to Siquijor, take a ferry from Dumaguete.

Siquijor Cantabon Cave
CANTABON CAVE

Cave spelunking is not for the faint of heart! If you like terrifying, heart-pounding extreme activities, pay a visit to Cantabon Cave. Located 800 meters into the ground, the only way is down. You will be harnessed and ascend deep into the earth for 20 minutes. You have headlights on to illuminate the smooth, otherworldly walls of the Catabon Cave with rock crescents hanging down from every direction. Your guide will be right next to you to explain everything! It gets cold there, so bring a sweater.

Siquijor Cambugahay Falls
CAMBUGAHAY FALLS

The coolest waterfalls in Siquijor are the Cambugahay Falls in my opinion. Admittedly, you will not soon have this spot to yourself, but it is certainly impressive. The water is a mix of deep green and blue, and you have some cool things to do besides just swimming. The Cambugahay Falls can be reached via 135 steps and consists of three different sections. The first part of this is the most striking. There is a swing - or a rope - that you can hang from. You jump off the cliff and then drop yourself into the water from a reasonable height. The back section is also fun to go, if you're looking for an extra adrenaline activity. You can jump off the waterfall here.

Siquijor Mountain Biking
MOUNTAIN BIKING

If you thought Siquijor's beaches and waterfalls were beautiful, wait until you explore the interior. With miles of rolling green hills, once you start your mountain bike ride, you and your group will feel like the only people on earth. There are 'Red, Blue and Green' level tracks to suit a range of mountain biking skills and experience. You will explore with a guide who knows every route like the back of his hand and ensures that you have a fun and safe adventure.

Bohol

Chocolate Hills, Carmen,Bohol
CHOCOLATE HILLS

The Chocolate Hills are by far the most popular tourist attraction on Bohol Island and once you see it, it's easy to see why. Here lie hundreds of symmetrical green mountainous hills as far as the eye can see. During the dry season, these hills take on a milk chocolate color - hence "Chocolate Hills". During the rainy season, they are lush and green. Rent a motorcycle taxi and enjoy the winding roads with natural and cultural attractions along the way.

Tarsier, Bohol
TARSIER GHOST MONKEY

Tarsiers - known locally as 'mamag' - are an endangered species and would be in danger of extinction had it not been for the efforts of the Tarsier Conservatory in Bohol. Tarsiers are considered a "dependent" species, meaning they cannot thrive alone in the wild. Each visit to the Tarsier Conservatory helps fund efforts and habitats to keep these adorable little creatures alive. If you visit the conservatory you will see several of these small primates with frog fingers hanging in the trees, sleeping under leaves and staring at you with their big eyes.

Panglao Beach, Bohol
PANGLAO BEACH

No boat is needed on Bohol to get from Bohol to Panglao - just a small bridge. Spend the day on this beautiful white sand beach, play in the water, enjoy a relaxing massage or have a cocktail at a beach bar. This island is great for romantic candlelite dinners with huge seafood platters and huge shrimp, lobster and fish! Rent a tour boat for snorkeling or go to a dive shop for an underwater exploration. Since Panglao is only a short drive from the center of Bohol, this is an easy day trip. However, if you decide to stay overnight, there is plenty of accommodation to stay.

What to expect!

A lot !!! But completely different from what you’re used to.

You pay in the Philippines for the luxury you want.
That is of course also in our country, but the average standard in the
Philippines is significantly lower than in Europe,US or other country’s.
If you can handle that, you have a fantastic holiday for relatively little money.

Rent or Take a Ride

Instead of a private car or taxi you can rent a motorbike or take the bus, jeepney or the well-known motorcycle with sidecar (habal habal).

Local Hotel

Instead of a luxury beach resort you can take a local hotel or B&B.

Breakfast

Instead of eating out every day (which is already not expensive) you can eat with the locals, eat in the shopping malls or cook your own meal.

AndJoy Logo

When you arrive in Santander, the trycilcle drivers generally know where to find our B&B (ask for: AndJoy B&B or the white house in Bunlan).
